Drop is a measure of volume—how much money players started with at the tables. Win is a measure of revenue—how much of that money the casino kept. A player can have a high drop by buying in for a lot, but if they break even, the win for the casino is zero.

Hold percentage is a key indicator of a game's performance and the casino's luck. If your table game hold is significantly lower than historical averages, it could indicate that players were unusually lucky, or there could be issues with game protection or procedure. For slots, it's a measure of whether the machines are performing to their mathematical specifications.

This varies wildly by game. Blackjack might hold 18-22% of the drop, while Roulette could hold 20-25%, and games like Baccarat can be much lower, sometimes 10-15%. The overall table games hold will be a weighted average based on the popularity of the games on your floor.

Slot hold (as a percentage of coin-in) is typically much lower than table game hold, often in the 6-10% range. This is because the volume of wagers (coin-in) is vastly higher on slots. A small percentage of a very large number still results in significant revenue.

Poker revenue is typically not based on Drop or Win, but on 'Rake'—the commission the house takes from each pot. For this calculator, you should include your total Poker rake for the period under 'Other Gaming Revenue'.
